Hangin’ Tight: Body2Body Competition Results

As the clock approached 6:00pm on Friday, February 8th, and the 75-hour challenge neared its end, 11 contestants still remained in the 2008 Body2Body competition.  In a test of endurance and will power, those 11 contestants held on tight in hopes of winning a brand new vehicle.  The two prize vehicles were provided by Toyota, the sponsor of the event for the second year in a row.

Since there were more than 2 remaining contestants at the conclusion of the competition, the awarding of the vehicles came down to luck.  The 11 remaining contestants partook in a random key fob drawing.  The two contestants whose key fobs activated one of the vehicles were awarded that particular car.    All remaining contestants were eligible to win either designated prize vehicle--a Toyota Corolla or Toyota Matrix.

So who were the lucky winners?  John Coraluzzi of Barrington, New Jersey, and Steven Potter of Westmount, New Jersey!  And, in a great twist of fate, each winner won the car they had been “attached to” for 75 hours straight.  John Coraluzzi won a brand new 2009 Toyota Corolla and Steven Potter won a brand new 2009 Toyota Matrix.  In addition, as a thank you and to congratulate those who lasted the duration of the competition, Toyota generously gave each remaining contestant a cash prize of $1,000.

Then, there was one last prize to distribute…

New for 2008, this year’s Body2Body Competition involved an online voting contest, where members of the public could vote on which 2 contestants, out of the participating 12, they thought were going to win.  Christopher Hare of Williamstown, New Jersey, was named the lucky individual who correctly picked John and Steve as the winners of the physical challenge.  And, as a result, Christopher won a brand new Toyota Yaris!

The Philadelphia Auto Show congratulates Christopher, John and Steven and thanks its contest sponsor, Toyota, and radio partner, WMMR-FM, for all of their efforts regarding the 2008 Body2Body Competition.
