1938 Peugeot Darl’mat
Details
Emile Darl’mat was an avid and passionate auto enthusiast, and was constantly working in the garage at his Peugeot dealership to improve his own cars with careful modifications. He built a total of 104 Peugeot 402 Darl’mat Special Sport Roadsters, but only six for racing, such as this car. The chassis were fitted with the distinctive Paulin-designed aerodynamic bodies. Three Darl’mats finished in the top 10 overall at the 24 Hours of LeMans in 1938.
